The Oriental Shorthair is a breed of domestic cat that is closely related to the Siamese. Orientals are exotically beautiful. It is a man-made Siamese hybrid created to bring together the looks and personality of the Siamese. First in Britainin the 1950s and then in Americain the 60s and early 70s, breeders set out to create this new look by crossing Siamese cats with American shorthairs, Russian blues, Burmese and Abyssinians. They maintain the modern Siamese head and body type but appears in a wide range of coat colors and patterns. Oh, Jennie, I love cats and these are Wonderful!! Amazing job getting them to both look at the camera at the same time. Are they your kitties? F.
Jennie Breeze replied:
Thanks Sharon! Yes, they are so exotically beautiful. I had the pleasure of playing with them for a full day and loved it. They belong to Roberto & Lynn Torrini, but I was tempted to kitnap them. They are amazing! They have dog personalities, so you get the best of both worlds.
