Description
The Oriental Shorthair is a breed of domestic cat that is closely related to the Siamese. Orientals are exotically beautiful. It is a man-made Siamese hybrid created to bring together the looks and personality of the Siamese. First in Britainin the 1950s and then in Americain the 60s and early 70s, breeders set out to create this new look by crossing Siamese cats with American shorthairs, Russian blues, Burmese and Abyssinians. They maintain the modern Siamese head and body type but appears in a wide range of coat colors and patterns. Like the Siamese, Orientals have almond-shaped eyes, a triangular head shape, large ears, and an elongated, slender, and muscular body. They are highly intelligent, very social. curious and playful, even with strangers. Many are often vocal and are usually green-eyed. They often remain energetic and playful into adulthood, with many enjoying playing fetch. Despite their slender appearance, they are athletic and can leap into high places. They prefer to live in pairs or groups and also seek human interaction.
Oriental Shorthair cats are known to be affectionate, loyal and trusting. This wonderful cat is a natural entertainer. These 'fur kids', Shiro (white male) and Petunia(female) are devoutly and lovingly cared for by their proud kitty parents, Roberto and Lynn Torrini.

Oh, Jennie, I love cats and these are Wonderful!! Amazing job getting them to both look at the camera at the same time. Are they your kitties? F.
Jennie Breeze replied:
Thanks Sharon! Yes, they are so exotically beautiful. I had the pleasure of playing with them for a full day and loved it. They belong to Roberto & Lynn Torrini, but I was tempted to kitnap them. They are amazing! They have dog personalities, so you get the best of both worlds.
