RE-NAMED THE TALLEST BUILDING IN THE LOS ANGELES SKYLINE 1,018 ft MAy 2014. The skyscraper now named US Bank Tower,alternative names Library Tower and First Interstate World Center is a 73-story office tower, consisting of over 1.4 million square feet. It's in the center of Downtown Los Angeles. The glass crown on top is brightly illuminated at night. The Bunker Hill Steps, a variation of Rome's Spanish Steps, wrap around the west side of the base, leading up to Bunker Hill. Tallest building in the United States west of the Mississippi River. The building was designed to withstand an earthquake of 8.3 on the Richter Scale. The highest helipad in the world is on the roof.
